From the Manufacturer
Impressive. Spectacular. Remarkable. There are many ways to describe this truly affordable scanner that delivers outstanding 1,200 x 2,400 dpi resolution scans. It's called the CanoScan N1240U, and when you consider its numerous innovations that make scanning fast and easy, we think you'll agree that this is one amazing machine. Just over 1 inch high, it uses a single USB cable for power and connection to any compatible Mac or PC. What's more, its three external buttons allow you to scan, copy, or e-mail your images in one step. You can even burn all your photos onto CDs with ease.
Now, it's easier than ever to take advantage of this scanner's superb 48-bit scanning with the color depth and brilliance of 281 trillion possible colors. The accompanying stand allows you to stand up the N1240U scanner on your desk and still use it to scan at any time. Canon's advanced Z-Lid Expansion Top will forever change the way you scan bulky items, such as books and magazines. Other scanner covers lift only at an angle and become uneven and awkward when scanning anything that isn't completely flat. The N1240U cover includes a special expansion hinge that lifts vertically and lies flat to create the space needed for bulky items, and to help ensure clear scans.
Black USB cord (Runs on USB, no separate power cord, so portable!)
Even has Stand to hold scanner upright!!
NOTE: Instructions for attaching scanner to stand is in the guide. Following the illustration, press scanner against the stand until you hear a loud click to secure. To remove press the top of the area secured to the scanner and the scanner will release.
